synopsis
A contemplative, intimately associative exploration of the relationship between the director, a pioneer of video art; Yuan-chia (1929–1994), a Chinese artist and founder of the LYC Museum in Northern England; and Delia Derbyshire (1937–2001), a renowned musician and electronic music composer, which also results in a collaboration – with audio artist Caro C.
biography
Madelon Hooykaas (1942) is a Dutch artist, video creator, photographer, filmmaker and author of several publications. She most commonly works with the media of film, sculpture and video installation, regularly combining topics of physical and human landscapes, water and light, memory and presence, loss and abstraction, and minimalism and formalism.
