First time at the festival

Are you coming to Ji.hlava for the first time? We bring you some recommendations on how to enjoy it to the fullest.

First time at the festival

Admission to the festival

The best way to enjoy the festival is with a festival accreditation. You can buy it online in the pre-sale. With a festival pass you have access to film screenings, film reservations and all offscreen events for free or at a discount.

Even if you buy your festival pass on the spot, create an account in the Eventival database now, through your festival "Visitor Page". Without this profile, we will not be able to issue your festival pass – if you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one before purchasing your accreditation.

You can also purchase individual tickets for specific screenings at a glance. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Infopoint in Masaryk Square. You will find complete information about accreditations and tickets here.

How to get to Jihlava

We recommend using public transport or car sharing services such as blablacar.cz. Thanks to our festival partners you can use buses and trains at a discount. All bonuses linked to your accreditation can be found on our discounts page.

Where to go when you arrive

Your first steps will lead you to the Accreditation Centre in the Horácké Theater (Theatre Café, Horácké divadlo Jihlava, Komenského 22). Here you will collect your accreditation and accommodation voucher. The Accreditation Centre will be open daily from Friday, 9 AM to 9 PM (except on the last day of the festival when we close at 3 PM).

What to do at Ji.hlava?

Attend film screenings all day long!. Check out the film programme and choose the films you want to see. By logging in to the Visitor Page in Eventival and having a pass assigned, you can add films to your favourites or book a ticket for a specific screening (bookings will always be available in the morning for up to 4 films per day).

Need a break from the movies? The festival's offscreen programme has something to offer every day. In our Music Tent you will find a wide range of concerts, theater, debates and podcasts. You don’t need to make reservations for the accompanying offscreen program.

Interested in topics such as the forest, defensiveness or lounging? You can't miss the Inspiration Forum discussion platform. You can also book tickets for the Inspiration Forum via the Visitor Page.

If you enjoy new technologies, visit our VR zone or Game zone.
