synopsis

Due to the increased reactivity of their nervous system, highly sensitive people are more receptive to sensory and emotional stimuli. Because of a generally low awareness of this trait, they often don’t understand themselves. This documentary movie shows the world through the eyes of two highly sensitive women who focus on this issue in their research. It follows their personal and professional search for a balanced attitude towards high sensitivity and the best ways to thrive in one shared world.

This film will be featured in the online edition of Ji.hlava IDFF.

biography

Klára Maliňáková works at the Olomouc University Social Health Institute (OUSHI). Her research focuses on high sensitivity and also informs her work as a therapist.

Marta Sýkorová works at the Olomouc University Social Health Institute (OUSHI). An academic novice and an experienced artist who makes videos, composes music and is involved in other creative endeavors as a member of the Momenty Arte group and the musical band Dobrá otázka.
