Eight industry awards were presented today to the most promising projects participating in the Ji.hlava New Visions Forum 2024. In total, thirty projects from Europe, United States and East & Southeast Asia were presented at the Forum. The projects in development, production and post-production were among those presented. The The winners received numerous cash and in-kind awards accorded in cooperation with the partners of Ji.hlava IDFF. See the list of all winners.
The industry jury is composed of Marco Cipollini, selection committee member at FIDMarseille, the program director at Docudays UA IHRDFF Yuliia Kovalenko and the artist programs manager at Points North Institute Zeshawn Ali.
Ji.hlava New Visions Award 2024 for the most promising European project will receive post-production services in the value of 15,000 EUR (UPP) and 5,000 EUR (Soundsquare). The winner is:

- Producers: Anna Mach Rumanová, Martina Netíková
- Countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic
Jury statement: For this award, we were impressed by their bold, cinematic filmmaking that united three unique directorial visions cohesively. This collaborative approach to the subject matter feels both inspiring and urgent. The Jury is honored to present the New Visions Award for most promising European Project to WASTELAND CHRONICLES.
Ji.hlava New Visions Forum Award 2024 for the most promising U.S. projects will receive 7,000 USD cash award in partnership with AmDocs. The winner is:

Jury statement: For this award, we were immediately struck by the unique essaysitic approach to this deeply specific yet universal exploration of the way we can be divided. Understanding the way barriers are constructed can begin a process in understanding how they canbe dismantled. The other cash and in-kind awards were accorded in cooperation with Current Time TV, Docs Connect Taskovski training, Cannes Docs – Marché du Film, Documentary Association of Europe, EURODOC, and Sheffield DocFest.

The Award for the Best Festival Posters of 2024 were accorded to 4 Živly Film Festival 2024 / Slovakia (Jury Award) and IFF Rotterdam 2024 / The Netherlands (Audience Award).
