Ewa Szablowska is the artistic director of New Horizons IFF in Poland. As an art historian and a curator of moving images, she has been working for festivals and galleries since 2009. At New Horizons IFFshe founded "The Visual Front" - a showcase for experimental cinema and films made by visual artists - and "The Third Eye" - a program exploring film and feminism at the different angles. She has curated a number of retrospectives, thematic programs and country focuses. She also curates expanded cinema exhibitions and writes about cinema, art and visual culture.
