Gulnar Salim, a founder of FemMekan (fem.space - translation from Azerbaijani ), the media platform of feminist content that covers inspirational stories of women who overcome the patriarchate obstacles that dominates in Azerbaijani society. She started her journey in the field of media years ago - working as a news reporter for a local newspaper and as a beginner in documentary photography. In 2015 she got the scholarship that allowed her to improve her writing skills as a journalist. Following step in her professional career took her to documentary filmmaking. Gulnar also produced several short documentary and documentary-essay films. Currently she works for an NGO that supports civil society initiatives on human rights and democracy
