This portrait of Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre) captures the revolutionary wave of underground girl bands and the changing relationship between feminism and society since the 1990s. Sini Anderson (1969) is an American director, producer, performer, choreographer, dancer, and poet originally from Chicago. She has shot numerous music videos (among others, for Jolie Holland). The Punk Singer is her feature film debut.
