synopsis
The story uf Uruguayan José “Pepe” Mujica’s is like no other: a humble man who became his country’s president by sticking true to his beliefs and at the same time embracing change. It is the story of a political activist and a former leftist guerrilla fighter from the Latin American left. „Pepe“ is proud of his past but far from resting on his laurels.
biography
Emir Kusturica is a Serbian director. He was born in 1954 in Sarajevo. In 1978 he graduated in film directing at the prestigious Film Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. After graduation, he directed several TV movies and has made a number internationaly successful films, such as Underground (1995), Black Cat, White Cat (1998) or Life is Beautiful (2004).
