synopsis
On the penultimate day of 2020, a police action took place on the Philippine island of Panay, during which nine members of the local indigenous Tumandok community were murdered. The reason was their protests against the construction of the dam. The documentary reconstructs the incident itself and its historical background with the help of wooden puppets and testimonies of women still living in fear and waiting in vain for justice.
"I am unable to shed a tear but my heart still whimpers every day. I keep thinking how I can reset my mind." (From the film.)
