The documentary film about Jasmina Houdek is a portrait of a strong woman who managed to overcome the trauma of rape in her adolescence and became an important personality in the field of self-defense and especially in the fight against sexualized violence in the Czech Republic.

biography

Erika Hníková (1976) graduated from the Department of Documentary Film at FAMU in Prague and already during her studies she won numerous awards for her films. She entered the public consciousness in 2004 with her graduation film Women for Currency, which was a great success and won the Audience Award at the International Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava. She has worked as editor-in-chief of the magazine Nový Prostor and regularly published her columns in the magazine Respekt. Her film Nesvatbov won the Best Film Award in the Forum section at the Berlinale 2011.
