Bomb Patrol Afghanistan
United States / 2011 / Czech Premiere / 44 min.
synopsis
This three-part Discovery Channel miniseries looks at American units in Afghanistan who specialize in removing improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The cameras used to film the show are part of the war technology that is the series’ main focus.
From the animations that give viewers a vivid look at how IEDs work, and from the commentary comparing the military automobiles to those from the Mad Max movies, we see that the real heroes of this series are the war machines.
