synopsis

Critical reflection on the illegal mining of precious metals under harsh working conditions is intertwined with observations of moon exploration. Two motifs interwoven with questions about the price of progress – the planet being mined and the exhausted miners digging up depleted gold deposits in Africa – draw attention to the ethical dimension of natural resource exploitation.
