Call Into the Forest and Hear It Call Back / A suggestive lecture accompanied by the sound of a chainsaw
A lecture on the boundaries of the forest, activism and memories of the forest, which for many years was perceived mainly through the spruce monoculture. The work of photographer Tomáš Hrůza depicts the forest, the bark beetle calamity, and collective memory. The author will use examples of his forest-themed exhibitions to expose a picture of the changing discourse of forestry and living in forests over time. He will also take us to meet the activists defending the rainforests in South America.
Speaker: Tomáš Hrůza
