synopsis
It has been nearly 20 years since three small children were murdered in the American city of West Memphis and three local teenagers were accused of committing this crime. All this time, directors Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky have followed the investigation, the alleged perpetrators’ life behind bars, and also the recent reopening of their case. The final part of their documentary trilogy – which helped raise doubts as to the guilt of the three convicted young men – looks at this most recent chapter.
