The language of the door that this film captures is the result of a Latin-written text being translated into a material alphabet composed of the angle and direction of movement of the creaking door.

biography

Wojciech Bruszewski (1947 - 2009) was a media artist. As a member of the Workshop of the Film Form (Warsztat Formy Filmowej), he was primarily interested in working with alternative codes and exploring the relationship between sound and image and the cognitive processes that co-create the image of reality.
