synopsis
Using aquatic symbolism and contrasts between film stock, VHS footage and digital film, the author explores the formative function of swimming, its influence on strengthening family bonds and its relationship to the current oppressive reality of war.
biography
Anastasiia Bonadyha was born into a family of doctors in Dnipro, Ukraine. She studied social anthropology and social work in Prague before joining the Department of Documentary Film at FAMU. She is currently a member of the audiovisual association
