synopsis
The series examines the use of lies, half-truths and misinformation over the past 2,000 years. Whether it's the Kennedy assassination, Pizzagate or the Corona virus – conspiracy theories are on the rise. But they are not a modern phenomenon, and people have been seduced by conspiracy stories for centuries. They provide simple answers to complex questions: a world without chaos, without accidents, in which everything is planned and can be under control."This series takes a wider look at the history of untruths throughout history, including how conspiracy theories are born, and the trajectory of “truth” when the stories of wars are told by the victors."
