synopsis
One of the basic mechanisms enabling the projection of films, which the audience then perceives as a sequence of moving images, is the object of representation here – through its mechanical parts and the demonstration of its operation – in a collage of images reprinted in a digital stream.
biography
Péter Lichter (1984) is a Hungarian filmmaker and film theorist, author of a monograph on experimental film and editor of Prisma magazine. He often works with the found footage method. He has already screened several films at Ji.hlava IDFF, such as
Non-Places: Beyond the Infinite (2016), based on the book by Marc Augé, the first part of
The Philosophy of Horror (2019), based on the book by Noël Carroll, and
Arnheim in Anaheim (2021), inspired by the work of Rudolf Arnheim. His
Baroque Femina (Nr.7-11) won special mention in the Fascinations section in 2020.
