synopsis

Suburbanization as an impending doom. The place of a stagnating building site veiled in liminal atmosphere that invoked more than nostalgic memories. This visually stylized documentary is a personal lament on the transformation of one important place that remained unchanged for a very long time. Fascination is shifting into hopelessness and vice versa. Meanwhile, the first residents are settling in.

This film will be featured in the online edition of Ji.hlava IDFF.

biography

Student at the Center for Audiovisual Studies, FAMU. Works at the intersection of film and video art. Creates complex imaginary worlds around her works with their own history and rules. Ideas based on actual theories and research are morphed into forms infused with magic realism and the uncanny.
