Debate with Erik Tabery not only about the book Not to lose myself

We invite you to a debate with Erik Tabery, author of the book interview with Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová, Not to Lose Myself. The book offers a unique insight not only into the highest levels of politics, but above all into the world of a person who has to deal with difficult private and political situations. What legacy does Zuzana Čaputová leave behind? Would Slovakia have been different with her as president a year after Robert Fico took office? And is the Czech Republic facing a Slovak scenario? The debate is moderated by František Trojan.

František Trojan studied political science and journalism at Masaryk University in Brno, where he moved from Prague for three years. He joined Respekt in 2020 and became a permanent member a year later, writing about Czech politics.

Erik Tabery is editor-in-chief of the weekly Respekt magazine. He has written the books We're governing, don't disturb and Looking for a president. A documentary film was based on the former. He is also the author of the documentary Tady je Šloufovo and the documentary series Generation Zero about young people. In 2018, he published the book The Abandoned Society: the Czech Journey from Masaryk to Babiš and in 2024 a book interview with Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová Not to Lose Myself.
